Editorial Standard

How LavioGuides turns scattered information into clear, practical guides.

LavioGuides publishes focused digital guides built around one practical problem at a time. Our editorial work is about selecting what matters, showing the reasoning clearly and organizing a useful path forward.

Clear guides. Better choices.

Trust comes from a visible process, honest limits and information readers can assess for themselves—not inflated promises.

The process

How a guide is built

Each guide moves through the same practical editorial sequence.

  1. Define one specific problem

Start with a focused question a reader needs to understand or act on, rather than treating a broad subject loosely.

  2. Research the working context

Review relevant authoritative sources, common real-world terminology and the processes readers are likely to encounter.

  3. Separate what is known

Distinguish facts, assumptions, calculations and safety boundaries so readers can see what a conclusion does—and does not—support.

  4. Build a practical sequence

Organize the material into decision points, examples, worksheets and checklists that make the next step easier to identify.

  5. Review clarity and consistency

Check language, calculations, structure and U.S.-specific context so the guide remains focused and internally consistent.

  6. Publish a clear edition

Include edition or update information and revise when meaningful changes justify a new version—without inventing a fixed update schedule.

Transparent boundaries

What our guides are—and are not

  • Independent educational resources
  • Not affiliated with utilities or government agencies
  • No guarantee of savings or a particular outcome
  • Not a replacement for licensed professional, legal, engineering, safety or provider-specific advice

The value

Why buy a guide if information exists for free?

Useful information can already exist across utilities, public agencies, official sources and other websites. LavioGuides does not claim exclusive ownership of public facts.

The value is the work around those facts: research, selection, organization, sequencing, worksheets, examples and a clear process that reduces the work of figuring out what applies and what to do next.

Sources and updates

Guides may reference official or authoritative sources. Local rules, current provider terms and the reader's own documents still control. Editions can be updated when meaningful changes justify a revision; no fixed cadence is implied.

Safety and boundaries

Utility and home guides focus on non-invasive educational checks. Suspected gas leaks, carbon monoxide, electrical hazards, plumbing faults or other urgent conditions require the appropriate utility emergency channel or qualified professional.
